I Gaza och på Västbanken pågår sedan årtionden brott mot mänskligheten och andra folkrättsbrott. Inget av det som palestinier gjorde sig skyldiga till den 7 oktober 2023 kan ursäkta eller försvara den medvetna och planerade fysiska förintelse som civilbefolkningen i Gaza utsatts för dagligen sedan oktober 2023.
Med anledning av min 75-årsdag den 27 augusti vill jag be er att bidra till Läkare utan gränsers fantastiska och nödvändiga arbete på många håll i världen. Jag ser helst att insamlade pengar går till civilbefolkningen i Gaza men överlåter med fullt förtroende till Läkare utan gränser bestämma var pengarna gör bäst nytta just nu.

Crimes against humanity and other violations of international law have been ongoing in Gaza and the West Bank for decades. Nothing that Palestinians committed on October 7, 2023 can excuse or justify the deliberate and planned physical annihilation that the civilian population of Gaza has been subjected to daily since October 2023.
On the occasion of my 75th birthday on August 27th, I invite you to contribute to the fantastic and necessary work done by Doctors Without Borders in many parts of the world. I would prefer that the money raised goes to the civilian population in Gaza, but I fully trust that Doctors Without Borders will decide where the money will be of best use at this time.
